Getting children involved in their oral health early on is important in establishing good habits. Just as children themselves have different needs as they grow, the approaches to their dental care require just as much evolvement. We are committed to finding the right path in guiding your child’s dental growth and development, as well as preventing future dental problems. Sealants and fluoride are used to help prevent common dental problems, such as decay.
We recommend that children visit us for the first time around the age of three. We’ve found it’s helpful to have them first come with a parent or older sibling to watch and get used to our sights, sounds and smells. At their first visit, we’ll talk them through what to expect and answer any of their questions, while avoiding “scary” words like “needle” and “drill”.
If no cavities are found, they become a member of our No Cavity Club! With this they’ll receive a new t-shirt and enter a drawing for a surprise give away.
